Meet Alan J. Fisher
Alan J. Fisher’s commitment to helping people through difficult times began long before he became a bankruptcy attorney.
Growing up in Brooklyn, Alan received advice from his grandmother that stayed with him throughout his life. His grandmother shared with him, “When you become successful, I want you to promise me two things: never forget where you came from, and never forget those who are struggling.”
Those words became a guiding principle for Alan not only in his personal life, but in the way he practices law. They shaped his belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, listened to, and given the opportunity to move forward when facing difficult circumstances.
For more than 30 years, Alan has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families navigate financial challenges and find solutions during some of the most stressful moments of their lives.
Having handled more than 25,000 bankruptcy cases, Alan brings extensive experience and a unique perspective to every client relationship. His experience representing both debtors and creditors gives him insight into the bankruptcy process and he uses that knowledge to protect his clients’ best interests.
Background and Experience
Previously in his career, Alan worked with a Chapter 13 Trustee and served in the chambers of a United States Bankruptcy Judge, experiences that have given him a deeper understanding of the bankruptcy system and the importance of careful preparation and strong advocacy.
But for Alan, bankruptcy is not just about numbers, paperwork, or court filings. It is about people. It is about helping someone who is worried about losing their home, overwhelmed by debt, or uncertain about what comes next with an understanding that there are options and a path forward.
